Previously, Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that the supply of COVID-19 vaccine in Indonesia was still sufficient if there was an increase in demand during the 2022 Eid homecoming.

“It’s enough for two injections or a booster if the demand increases quite a lot,” said the Minister of Health.

He conveyed that this year booster dose vaccination is one of the requirements for traveling back and forth to maintain the health of the elderly who will be visited by travelers.

He said Indonesia had a stockpile of 475 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine. Meanwhile, around 395 million doses have been injected.

“So there are still 80 million doses of vaccine that we can use for booster injections, including for the second injection,” he explained. [ANTARA]
