Jakarta, IDN Times – Two Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team drivers, Bo Bendsneyder and Gabriel Rodrigo, said they couldn’t wait to meet President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo. Bendsneyder even admitted to feeling nervous.
“Yes, I can’t wait to meet the President but I’m nervous and don’t know what to discuss later. The point is I want to meet the president immediately,” said Bendsneyder at the Mandalika GP Hub, Epiwalk, Jakarta, Thursday (10/3/2022).
1. Gabriel will ask the President to support his team
Meanwhile, Gabriel has a more assertive request than Bendsneyder. He wants President Jokowi to support his team.
Moreover, Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team is the only team from Indonesia in Moto2 2022.
“Yes, I hope he supports our team, because this is a good opportunity for Indonesian riders to go to MotoGP,” said Rodrigo.

2. Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team targets to enter the podium
The President Director of Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team, Kemal Nasution, targets his team to enter the podium in Moto2 2022. He sees that the performance of the two drivers has been pretty good since last season.
“For this year’s target we have to have a podium. So if we look at the performance of the two drivers themselves, last year was good, and this year if we look at the practice session it was good, even though there had been problems in Portugal (Portimao),” said Kemal.
3. MotoGP racers will meet President Jokowi
Prior to participating in the Indonesian Grand Prix at the Mandalika Circuit, the MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 racers are scheduled to meet President Jokowi. There will be 20 racers participating in the meeting.
In addition to names such as Marc Marquez and Fabio Quartararo, two Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team racers will also participate in the event. The meeting with Jokowi is scheduled for March 16, 2022.
