Jogan Beach

At a glance at jogan beach, you will be reminded of the McWay Beach Waterfall in California. This kind of tourism is very rare, where there are waterfalls and beaches that collide with each other on the shoreline. Yes, in Indonesia, it’s like Banyutibo Beach

Luckily, Yogyakarta has a tour like this. It’s rare for a waterfall and a beach to be in one place. The amazing thing is that they are not far from each other.

Very close. Even facing each other. So we can directly see that fresh water has mixed with salt water on the beach. The clear water, falling from a height creates a beautiful view that spoils the eyes.

When there, don’t forget! You have to come pamper your camera lens. It is obligatory to take pictures at the waterfall and the beach.

And although the tour is very beautiful, not many visitors who go there. Its popularity is still inferior to Parangtritis beach or Indrayanti beach. So the impression is still very virgin and beautiful.

The beauty of Jogja Beach

Before reaching the 12 meter high waterfall, you have to pass through steep terrain so that you can stand on the shore that connects fresh and salt water together. There are several ways to get down from the waterfall.

The first is by rapling, aka going down the waterfall using a rope that binds your body. The second is by walking along the slippery road on the side of the waterfall.

You can’t say it’s easy, because there are baby crabs that inhabit the place. Down steep rocks with bare feet was not a good choice.

After arriving at the bottom of the waterfall, there you can enjoy the feeling of standing between the waterfall and the beach. The sensation is completely different from the sensation of standing in front of an ordinary beach.

Supported by white sand and beautiful coral rocks. When you turn your back to the waterfall, you feel something else. It will feel very foreign.

When in front there is a wide stretch of beach, then your back feels like a waterfall is going down behind you, it feels very, very unique.

Don’t forget the sky. Coming at the right time, can be an addition to the beauty of jogan beach. The sky at certain times can bring up a purplish color. Seeing the sunset or sunrise is also very suitable in this place.

Jogan Beach Facilities

It’s quite sad because the facilities are still lacking. For example, a shop. We are only provided with a small shop that offers fast food culinary.

Like noodles in a cup or fried instant noodles or something else. In contrast to other beaches that already serve their own mainstay food stalls.

This is also because the visitors are not too many. In addition, the road infrastructure is not supportive. The road is still in the form of concrete which is not paved in the middle.

Then the parking area is not too wide. But these things are understandable because the main excitement is not in the culinary arts or the streets, but the tourism itself.

Jogja Beach Ticket Prices

The price is very cheap. With 3,000 you can already enjoy the beautiful beaches and waterfalls in one place at once. But for parking fees, you are still charged. For motorbikes, the price is only 2,000 rupiah. And the car is 5,000 rupiah.

Visitors who have visited this place said that we are advised to provide a small amount of money. Useful to pay for some spots that we will make photos. Even though we give sincerely (we may or may not give), but for the continuation of this tour in the future, it is better if we give them even if it is only a penny.

Location of Jogja Beach

Their route is close to other famous beautiful beaches of Yogyakarta. Such as Nglambor Beach, and Siung Beach.

This beach itself is located on Purwodadi Street, Tepus, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta Special Region. It’s easier if taken from Wonosari City.

The road is still not very supportive. Drive carefully. Your struggle will not be in vain on this journey.

When you arrive at the location, get ready! You will be greeted by beautiful beaches that are rarely visited by tourists.

Before visiting this tour, it’s a good idea to pay attention to the weather. Do not come during the rainy season, because the rocks will be very slippery as well as their roads. But don’t come during the dry season, because during the dry season only a few waterfalls come out.

And according to the Jogan beach tourism manager who was there, we are advised to visit from December to February. At that time, the weather was very favorable to enjoy the beauty of their nature.
