Uzone.id – The Republic of Indonesia Police (Polri) together with the Indonesian National Army (TNI) held a joint operation called Operation Safety Jaya 2022 starting today, Tuesday (1/3/2022) and ending Monday (14/3/2022).
Karo Ops Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Marsudianto explained, the authorities deployed 3,164 personnel and will be deployed in around 83 points in the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya.
“And the implementation will be divided into 38 points in the Polda area, while from the Resort Police there are 45 points,” Marsudianto told reporters on Tuesday (1/3/2022).

In addition, Marsudianto said, Operation Safety Jaya 2022 will focus on community compliance in traffic and related to health protocols.
“Because we know that until now the Covid-19 pandemic is still ongoing,” he said.
Viewing Instagram account @tmcpoldametrobelonging to the Polda Metro Jaya, Operation Safety Jaya 2022 targets seven traffic violations, namely:
1. Motor vehicle drivers who use cell phones
Violation of Article 283 of the Road Traffic and Transportation Law (LLAJ), will result in a three-month prison sentence or a maximum fine of IDR 750 thousand.
2. Drivers of motorized vehicles who are still underage
As regulated in Article 281 of the Road Traffic and Transportation Law, violations of this article are punishable by imprisonment of four months or a maximum fine of Rp. 1 million.

3. Riding more than 1 person
Violation of Article 292 in conjunction with Article 106 paragraph (9) of the violation of that article, can be threatened with imprisonment for a maximum of one month or a fine of a maximum of Rp. 250 thousand.
4. Not using an SNI helmet
The use of SNI helmets has been regulated in Article 291 of the LLAJ Law. Meanwhile, motorists who violate the law are threatened with a maximum imprisonment of one month or a maximum fine of IDR 250 thousand.
5. Driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol
Violation of Article 331 of the Traffic and Road Transportation Law can be threatened with a maximum imprisonment of one year or a maximum fine of Rp. 3 million.
6. Go against the flow
In Article 287 paragraph (1) vehicles that go against the flow of traffic are threatened with a maximum imprisonment of two months or a maximum fine of Rp. 500 thousand.
7. Drivers of motorized vehicles who do not use safety belt
Violation of Article 289 of the LLAJ Law is punishable by a maximum imprisonment of one month or a maximum fine of IDR 250 thousand.
