AC Milan immediately extends Bennacer’s contract, release clause is still a mystery –

Italian League News: AC Milan is expected to announce the renewal of Ismael Bennacer’s contract soon, with some important news regarding his release clause.

According to Tuttosport via PianetaMilan, almost everything has been agreed between the two parties and Bennacer will sign a new contract until 30 June 2026, which sees him extending his current deadline to two years to further seal his long-term future with the Serie A giants.

In the new agreement, the Algeria international’s salary will be increased to 3.2 million euros or IDR 51.2 billion net per season plus bonuses which is a significant increase compared to what he currently receives. The deal was the result of fruitful contacts between Milan’s management and the star’s agent since the first discussions began, when media attention was focused on the process of extending the contracts of Theo Hernandez and other players.

Nevertheless, it remains to be understood whether the 24-year-old midfielder’s new contract will maintain his release clause of 50 million euros or Rp800 billion or not. The clause applies in his current deal, but only for clubs outside of Serie A and only if the amount is paid in one installment.

The Rossoneri themselves want to remove the clause, but the outcome of their efforts is still unknown and it will probably become clearer when Bennacer officially signs his new contract later.
