Active Cases of COVID-19 in DKI Jakarta Dropped Again to 28,212

Jakarta, IDN Times – The number of COVID-19 cases in Jakarta has increased by 148 cases. This figure decreased significantly compared to the previous day, which was 668 cases. With this, the total active cases in DKI Jakarta reached 28,212 as of Wednesday (9/3/2022).

“The number of active cases in Jakarta today increased by 148 cases, so the number of active cases is now 28,212 (people who are still being treated/isolated),” said Head of Disease Prevention and Control, DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office, Dwi Oktavia, in a written statement. .

To date, the cumulative total of COVID-19 cases in DKI Jakarta has reached 1,207,927. With a cure rate of 96.4 percent or reaching 1,164,852 people.

“From the total number of positive cases, a total of 1,164,852 people were declared cured with a cure rate of 96.4 percent,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the total number of people who died from COVID-19 was 14,863, with a mortality rate of 1.2 percent, or below Indonesia’s 2.6 percent death rate.

Data from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office noted, on Wednesday (9/3/2022), 33,142 specimens were carried out for PCR tests. Of these tests, 30,159 people were tested by PCR today to diagnose new cases with 3,872 positive and 26,287 negative results.

Meanwhile, positivity rate or the percentage of positive cases in the last week in Jakarta was 12.2 percent, while the percentage of positive cases in total was 12.1 percent. This number is still above the standard set by WHO which is no more than 5 percent.
