Asus 8z officially launches, brings 64 MP camera with prices starting at 8 million

After a long time, finally the ASUS 8z HP has been officially released in Bollywood, India. This smartphone puts performance first, of course at a very affordable price worth it.

The handset comes as rebrand from ZenFone 8 which was introduced in the global market last year. This slim body features a 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 888 and dual cameras led by a 64MP sensor.

This flagship smartphone packs a 5.9-inch diagonal Super AMOLED display that offers FHD+ resolution, refresh rate 120Hz, HDR10, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 1,100 nits brightness. The screen is HDR10+ certified and is scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass Victus.

Meanwhile, the rear panel carries a dual camera system consisting of a 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera with 4-axis OIS support. Then paired with the camera ultra wide Sony IMX363 12MP.

Regarding performance, ASUS 8z relies on the Snapdragon 888 SoC equipped with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. The microSD card slot is absent from this device. That means, the storage is not possible to be expanded.

Its performance is strengthened by a 4000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. This handset runs on Android 11 operating system with Zen UI interface.

This Chinese smartphone is equipped with connectivity features such as dual SIM, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, USB-C port, Dirac-tuned dual stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

This compact design phone is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance.

For the price, the ASUS 8z in India is priced at 42,999 Rupees (Rp 8.1 million). The price is for a single storage option, namely 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage.
