BRI League 1 Week 28 standings after Persib Bandung beat Persija Jakarta 2-0

TEMPO.CO, JakartaDavid da Silva’s two goals brought Persib Bandung to beat Persija Jakarta with a score of 2-0 in the continuation of the BRI Liga 1 at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, Tuesday night.

David scored in the 15th and 84th minutes which all started from corner kick situations.

Both Persija and Persib both appeared pressing from the start in the match. However, it was Persib Bandung who managed to open the quarter-hour advantage through David da Silva’s kick.

David, who was barely guarded in the box, was able to finish off Marc Klok’s corner.

After Persib winning 1-0, Persija increased the intensity of their attacks. In the 21st minute, Syahrian Abimanyu’s free kick was aimed at Persib’s goal but was pushed over by goalkeeper Teja Paku Alam.

Then, David da Silva had at least four chances but failed to capitalize on them due to Persija’s tight defense and Andritany’s good performance.

In the second half, Persija replaced Marko Simic with Taufik Hidayat. Riko Simanjuntak also came out and Irfan Jauhari entered.

Taufik had a chance in the 68th minute, before Persib midfielder Mohammed Rashid’s shot hit the opponent’s crossbar one minute later.

Persib finally doubled the position in the 84th minute. David da Silva was again the scorer after taking advantage of the chaos in the forbidden box after a corner kick that was executed by Marc Klok.

David has now scored five goals for Persib in Liga 1 this season since being recruited in December 2021, four of which were made in the last three “Maung Bandung” matches.

No other goals were created until the game was over. Persib ensure a 2-0 victory over Persija.

The result made Persib move up to second place in the BRI Liga 1 Indonesia 2021-2022 standings, shifting Bhayangkara FC and Arema FC, with a collection of 57 points from 28 matches. Meanwhile, Persija Jakarta did not move from seventh place with 38 points from 27 matches.
