TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – PSS Sleman will face Bhayangkara FC in week 29 of BRI Liga 1 at Kompyang Sujana Stadium, Monday, March 7, 2022.
PSS coach, Putu Gede, hopes that striker Wander Luiz can contribute more. The 30-year-old player was imported from Persib Bandung in the transfer market for the first half of the League 1 season.
However, its presence is still considered not to meet expectations. The Brazilian has scored just three goals in 10 appearances for Super Elja. When he was in Persib uniform, he only scored six goals from 17 matches during the first round.
“I think (the role) has not been maximized, maybe still adapting. Also several times in the match not yet set with the players,” said Putu Gede during an online press conference, Sunday, March 6, 2022.
“Wander Luiz’s potential is actually huge, hopefully tomorrow he can score a goal to help us win,” he said.
Facing Bhayangkara FC, Putu Gede will not focus on guarding one of the opposing players. According to him, all players of The Guardian should be wary of and must play totally.
“Bhayangkara FC, everyone can see, everything is dangerous. This team should be at the top of the standings or at least in the runner-up position. All players are dangerous and should be wary of,” he said.
“The players have to work hard, it’s important. We mean that we have to be brave to play all out, if we don’t insist it will be difficult. We even have to put out our abilities not 100 percent but 200 percent,” he said.
PSS Sleman is currently in 11th place in the BRI Liga 1 standings with 32 points. Meanwhile, Bhayangkara FC is in the top four with 55 points.
The match Bhayangkara FC vs PSS Sleman in the continuation of BRI Liga 1 on Monday tomorrow is scheduled to start at 20.30 WIB with a live broadcast Indosiar.
