TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Persik Kediri managed to beat Arema FC 1-0 in the 28th match of the BRI Liga 1, Sunday, February 27 2022. Played at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, thanks to a single goal from Risna Prahalabenta.
Risna scored a free kick in the 85th minute. His kick ball could not be driven away by Arema goalkeeper, Adilson Maringa.
After the match, Persik’s coach, Javier Roca, praised Risna’s performance. “Today we are grateful that he can score an incredible goal,” he said after the game.
“When he touched the ball, I knew it was in,” Roca added. “good job Risna to stay consistent.”
Roca revealed, what the 24-year-old player showed was the achievement of a long training process. Almost every day, Risna does exercises to maximize her potential in set pieces.
“This is Risna’s hard work, who practices almost every day so that her potential can come out,” he said.
“Indeed, this is the only player I am angry with the most but today he was able to bring the team to victory,” he added.
This victory over Arema FC makes Persik Kediri now ranked eighth in the BRI Liga 1 standings with 35 points from 28 matches. The next match, Javier Roca’s men will face Madura United on Saturday.
