TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Persib Bandung defeated Persija Jakarta with a score of 2-0 in the 28th match of the BRI Liga 1 2021/2022 at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, Tuesday, March 1 2022.
Robert Alberts’ team appeared effective in attack even though statistically the ball possession was evenly matched. Persib is also superior in creating shoots on target compared to his opponent.
The strategy applied by the coaching team was quite accurate. They finally won thanks to goals scored by David Da Silva.
Persib coach, Robert Alberts, said the match was quite hot and difficult. However, his foster children can play very well. The Dutch coach said his team deserved to win.
He considered, the match started with both teams that appear cautious. But slowly Persib started to play faster and were able to create chances. Then after that it started to balance.
“But I can say we played more dangerously than Persija. The opponents are a good team and we respect them. But overall we deserved to win today,” said Robert after the game, as quoted by the Persib page.
“So I think we have put in a strong performance despite only having a few days to prepare the team for this match,” said the Dutchman.
This win made Persib Bandung rise to second place in the BRI Liga 1 Indonesia 2021-2022 standings, shifting Bhayangkara FC and Arema FC. They packed 57 points from 28 matches. As for Persija did not move from seventh place standings with 38 points from 27 matches.
