TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Persib Bandung managed to beat Persiraja Banda Aceh with a score of 3-1 in the 29th week of the BRI League 1 continuation at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Stadium, Denpasar, Saturday, March 5, 2022.
Persib coach, Robert Alberts, said that victory was not easy to come by. “It was quite an entertaining match. Persiraja showed they had changed their style of play which made the game difficult and scored good goals,” said the Dutch coach, as quoted by the Persib website.
The Blue Prince’s three goals in this match were contributed by Frets Butuan in the 5th minute, Erwin Ramdani (20) and David da Silva (48). Meanwhile, one goal from Persiraja was made by Bruno Dybal (13).
Despite conceding goals, Robert was pleased that his team were doing well with more possession and creating additional goals. According to him, this victory makes the team more confident in undergoing the rest of the match.
“In terms of dominance of the game and attack, we realized we should have scored more goals because it would have made the game easier,” he said.
Meanwhile, Persib goalkeeper I Made Wirawan was happy with the victory. “In accordance with our target to maintain a positive trend and stay at the top of the standings,” he said.
According to him, all the players worked hard. “From the start, I was pressing, thank God I was able to score a goal from the effort by creating many chances,” he said.
Persib Bandung is now in second place in the BRI Liga 1 standings with a value of 60, losing on goal difference to Bali United who have only played 29 times. In week 30 they will play Arema FC, on March 9, 2022.
