TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The match Chelsea vs Liverpool in the final of the English League Cup or Carabao Cup at Wembley Stadium, tonight, 27 February 2022, will be the stage for Thomas Tuchel’s battle with his compatriot, Jurgen Klopp.
Tuchel will face Jurgen Klopp for the fourth time as Chelsea boss in that final. In their previous three meetings, he was unbeaten as Chelsea coach, with two draws and one win. The victory was achieved last season at Anfield.

Speaking about his reunion with Klopp in tonight’s Premier League Cup final, Tuchel said he was proud and happy. “It feels great. I am grateful to be a part of it. We both come from more or less the same club,” he was quoted as saying on the club’s official website ahead of the match.
“I had my first experience coaching professional football at Mainz, he was a legendary player and coach at Mainz and I was after him.”
“We met in the Champions League and Premier League, we have played against each other in the Europa League and now in the Wembley final.”
“It’s been amazing and I’m so grateful to be a part of it, to have this experience.”
“It means a lot to me, to have this opportunity and I respect the traditions of England Cup and Wembley football. I can tell you, it means a lot to me,” Tuchel said.
Chelsea will win their third trophy this season if they win this match. Previously, Thomas Tuchel’s squad had won the European Super Cup and Club World Cup. As for Liverpool, this is their first chance to win a trophy this season.
