DigiCampus, Telkom Program Encourages Excellent Human Resources from Campus

Uzone.id – Early in 2022, Telkom Indonesia launched a new program called ‘DigiCampus’, this program involves various universities in Indonesia. This program present as a form of support from Telkom Indonesia to improve the competitive quality of superior human resources in the university environment.

The DigiCampus program or Digital Transformation towards Smart Campus is a digital solution offered by Telkom Indonesia to support universities in realizing smart campuses.

This program is carried out by means of roadshows to campuses for socialization and collaboration related to the campus digitization process.

In early March, Telkom signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Institutional Strengthening and Development and Implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education with Sebelas Maret University (UNS).

Then, the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Padjadjaran University (Unpad) regarding Education, Research, and Community Service as well as a courtesy visit to Gadjah Mada University (UGM).

As part of the company’s transformation into a digital telco to advance society, Telkom itself has three digital business focuses, namely digital connectivity, digital platforms, and also digital services.

“With the existing capabilities, we are ready to collaborate with various universities through the DigiCampus program, in order to improve the quality of education and the quality of universities in Indonesia with global standards,” said Director of Enterprise and Business Service Telkom Edi Witjara who was accompanied by EVP Telkom Enterprise Service Division, Teuku Muda. Nanta.

There are several systems that have been prepared by Telkom to realize the digitalization of this campus, starting from Smart System to support campus operations such as the implementation of the system e-parking, smart libraries, and smart cardas well as Smart Learning to support direct learning such as blended learning, smart classroom, and e-academic.

Then, there Smart Building ICT-based that integrates telecommunications, building automation, systems and office automation to optimize cost, function and integration includes access control, triple play connection, WiFi, CCTV, alarm, sound system announcer, digital signage, and others.

Telkom’s efforts are also realized through the ratification of cooperation in the implementation of work programs in the fields of research, education, community service and optimization of resources and infrastructure belonging to companies and universities.

This collaboration includes utilizing the potential, resources, research, assistance in realizing the vision and mission of universities such as Unpad to become hybrid universityproviding student internship programs through Merdeka Learning Merdeka Campus and others.

Of course, this program was welcomed by universities from the Rector of UGM, the Chancellor of Unpad, to the Chancellor of UNS.

Panut Mulyono.

“The collaboration between Telkom and UNS so far has been to make UNS a university of international reputation through the development of efficient and effective science and technology, as well as the dissemination of educational and teaching results as well as research so that a sustainable transformation occurs,” said Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, Chancellor of UNS.

“Telkom’s support for Unpad is expected to support the development of an education and teaching ecosystem, as well as research that will produce competent, competitive, and productive human resources,” said the Chancellor of the University of Padjadjaran Prof. Dr. Rina Indiastuti.

“With the spirit of synergy, Telkom is confident and committed to continuing to support the progress of the Indonesian education sector through the DigiCampus program in the form of providing digital solutions for integrated ICT services,” said Edi.

Going forward, Telkom continues to be committed to expanding cooperation with universities in Indonesia in order to accelerate the improvement of the quality of domestic human resources.
