TEMPO.CO, Jakarta Liverpool have made it through to the FA Cup quarter-finals. The Reds advance after a 2-1 win over Norwich City at Anfield, Thursday morning, March 2, 2022.
Liverpool went straight two goals ahead through the action of Takumi Minamino in the 27th and 39th minutes. Norwich were only able to get one goal through Lukas Rupp in the 76th minute.
Jurgen Klopp’s team dominated the game with possession of the ball reaching 66 percent. They also had 4 shots on target on target, compared to Norwich’s only two.
This is the first time Liverpool have qualified for the quarter-finals since 2014/2015. At that time they continued to advance and were finally stopped by Aston Villa in the semifinals.

Other Qualifying Teams and Lottery
Liverpool followed Chelsea and Southampton who qualified for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup a few hours earlier. Chelsea beat Luton Town 3-2, while Southampton knocked out West Ham United 3-1.
The day before, Manchester City, Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough also advanced. Middlesbrough escaped by getting rid of Tottenham Hotspur.
There are still two games left in the FA Cup. Everton will take on Borehan Word, a fifth division team, this Thursday night. While Nottingham Forest will face Huddersfield Town on 7 March 2022.
The draw for the FA Cup quarter-finals will be made this Thursday, 3 March 2022.
