Jakarta, IDN Times – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has arrested the alleged briber of the 2013-2018 Tulungagung Regent Syahri Mulyo, Tigor Prakasa. This determination is a development of the corruption case that previously involved Syahri Mulyo et al.
“KPK conducted an investigation and found sufficient initial evidence, so the KPK raised the status of this case to the investigative stage by announcing the suspect,” said Deputy Chairman of the KPK, Alexander Marwata, Friday (11/3/2022).
1. Tigor is suspected of having approached the former Tulungaung Regent
Alex explained that Tigor was the Director of PT Kediri Putra. The company is a contractor who mostly works on projects at the Tulungagung PUPR Service.
“In order to be able to win and return to work on several projects in the Tulungagung Regency Government, it is suspected that there was a special approach taken by the TP suspect to several parties in the Tulungagung Regency Government,” explained Alex.

Tigor allegedly handed over some money to Syahri Mulyo as a form of commitment, because his company had been won to work on a number of projects in Tulungaung. Syahri is suspected of receiving money from Tigor worth a total of Rp. 14.5 billion from 2016-2018.
In 2016, Tigor was suspected of giving Rp. 8.6 billion after receiving a project worth Rp. 64 billion. In 2017, Tigor was also suspected of giving Rp3.9 billion after receiving a Rp26 billion project, and in 2018 Tigor gave Rp2 billion for a project worth Rp24 billion.
3. Tigor Prakasa is detained in the C1 KPK Rutan
As a bribe giver, Tigor is suspected of violating Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b or Article 13 of Law Number 31 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001.
“For the investigation process, the Investigative Team made efforts to forcefully detain suspects for the first 20 days, starting from March 11-30, 2022 at the KPK Detention Center in Lot C1,” explained Alex.
