Hino Launches New Euro4 Standard Engine Truck and Bus

Uzone.id – PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI) launched all Hino vehicles with Euro4 emission engine standards.

Hino has prepared well for development and infrastructure. Starting from production lines, outlet networks, technology systems, technical equipment, after-sales service, to trained human resources and mechanics.

And of course most importantly, the new common rail engine which is more robust, economical and environmentally friendly, complies with Euro4 regulations.

For the development of this Euro4 vehicle, Hino remains committed to maintaining Hino’s DNA, namely Quality Durability Reliability or QDR. Where for 40 years Hino has been present in Indonesia.

All Hino vehicles have been proven to be well received by consumers, so Hino has become the market leader in the medium duty truck segment for 22 years in a row to date with a market share of over 50%.

Currently, all Hino vehicles produced are equipped with Euro4 engine technology to meet all business needs, ranging from the Hino Dutro light-duty truck, Hino Ranger medium-duty truck, Hino Profia heavy-duty truck and Hino Bus.

Various advanced features remain embedded in Hino Euro4 vehicles. Starting from a strong chassis that has been tested in the field, a more optimal gross vehicle weight (GVW), a responsive braking system using full air brakes and ABS.

Up to a fuel system with a 3x fuel filtering mechanism and injectors with full Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) to increase wear resistance.

Santiko Wardoyo, COO – Director of HMSI, said the Hino Euro4 Truck and Bus, has a new common rail transmission and engine which of course is not only strong and tough in all operating fields, but also has environmentally friendly exhaust emissions.

Hino’s common rail engine is equipped with Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) to reduce carbon monoxide (CO) and Hydrocarbon (HC) exhaust emissions, in addition there is Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) to reduce NOx emission levels, and Selective Catalytic Reduction ( SCR) for certain models.

The common rail Hino Euro4 engine also has a Variable Nozzle Turbo (VNT) to increase the air supply to the combustion chamber for responsive power generation, as well as the latest generation ECU that has been integrated with the EDU.

With a variety of technologies in it, Hino’s common rail engine has environmentally friendly exhaust emissions, good fuel efficiency, and produces a smooth engine sound and minimal vibration.

Masahiro Aso, President Director of PT Hino Motors Manufactruing Indonesia (HMMI) added, to achieve the exhaust emission target set, it is better to use diesel fuel with a minimum cetane number 51 and a maximum sulfur content of 50ppm.

“For this reason, HMMI provides quality assurance for Hino vehicles produced today, because Hino Indonesia has experience in producing EURO4 vehicles for the export market,” he concluded.
