TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Juventus won 3-2 over Empoli in the Italian League match at the Carlo Castellani Stadium, Sunday morning WIB, 27 February 2022. Dusan Vlahovic became the hero of Juventus’ victory with two goals. Bringing Massimiliano Allegri’s team narrowed the gap with Serie A leaders AC Milan to seven points.
Another Juventus goal was scored by Moise Kean. Empoli hit back with two goals from Symon Zurkowski and Andrea La Mantia.
This victory does not change the position of Juventus in fourth place in the Italian League with 50 points, while Empoli is stuck in 13th place with 31 points.
Juventus had their first chance in the 7th minute when Vlahovic found Denis Zakaria in the box but the ball was cleared by Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.
Juventus opened the scoring in the 32nd minute after Adrien Rabiot sent a cross into the box which Moise Kean met with a header which found the net for Empoli.
Empoli equalized seven minutes later when Szymon Zurkowski slotted home a corner in front of Juventus’ goal.
Juventus restored their lead just before half-time after Vlahovic found a fine pass from Juan Cuadrado which he sent Guglielmo Vicario into the net.
Vlahovic scored a brace or two goals in the 66th minute after the Serbian striker picked up Alvaro Morata’s pass before carrying the ball into the box and lifting the ball past Vicario to make it 3-1.
Empoli came back ten minutes later from a goal by Andrea La Mantia who found the ball gagged in the penalty area for Wojciech Szczesny’s Juventus goal.
Empoli tried to equalize in the following minutes but the score was 3-2 unchanged in favor of Juventus.
