Leave a message to the Minister of Youth and Sports, these are 2 directions from President Jokowi for the U-19 National Team

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Zainudin Amali, convey the message entrusted by the President Joko Widodo for T playersIndonesian U-19 National Imnas who is preparing to face U-20 World Cup 2023.

Zainudin Amali explained that the direction given by President Jokowi was entrusted to PSSI and all members Indonesian U-19 national team, including coach Shin Tae-yong and foster children.

This was conveyed by the Minister of Youth and Sports while visiting the Indonesian national team’s inaugural training agenda which took place at the Madya Stadium, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

“The President gave directions for me to convey to the PSSI Chairman, management, coaching team, and players to make the most of the opportunity,” said the Minister of Youth and Sports as quoted from the official PSSI website.

“So, we can achieve maximum performance during the match 2023 U-20 World Cup.”

“He also wants Indonesia to be a good host and an accomplished national team,” he continued.

Therefore, Zainudin Amali ask Indonesian U-19 National Team to prepare well in order to excel in 2023 U-20 World Cup.

“We are the host and have the opportunity to immediately become part of the 24 teams (which qualify),” said Amali.

“Now, this we have to show. We are not only good hosts or organisers, but we also have a proud national team,” he added.

The agenda for the training camp which took place in Jakarta was a preparation for the U-19 national team before leaving for South Korea.

The plan is March 7, 2022, Indonesian U-19 National Team will fly to South Korea to continue this training camp.

While in Ginseng Country, Marselino Ferdinand and colleagues will hold a number of trial matches in two cities.

The first, the practice match will take place in Gyeongsangbuk-do on March 13-24 this year, and then will be held in Daegu from March 24 to April 10, 2022.
