Mandalika MotoGP Race Tickets Sold Out

The Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, which is less than two weeks away from being held, has received high enthusiasm from the public. Tickets on race day, Sunday (20/3) have been sold out.

“Extraordinary appreciation for the public’s interest in which the Moto-GP tickets for the main race (race) can be sold out. This is the interest from individuals, communities and corporations,” said SOE Minister Erick Thohir in a virtual press conference, Sunday (6/8). ).

Due to the high interest of potential spectators, Erick said that Dorna had opened an additional stands of 1,000 tickets, each of 500 for Marc Marquez and Maverick Vinales fans. People who have not received tickets on race day are also encouraged to buy additional tickets.

“Dorna really appreciates that it has opened an additional stand, a grandstand for Marc Marquez’s fans and also Maverick Vinales for 500 tickets (each) and I’m sure this will also run out,” he added.

Erick said that the government and the committee greatly appreciated the enthusiasm of the community. He emphasized that Indonesia is ready and able to hold world events.

“We must appreciate the public’s interest. Just like when the Asian Games sold out, how do people appreciate an event of this magnitude and this proves that we are a big country, a country that is ready to hold world events,” he said.

Injourney CEO Dony Oskaria said tickets for the first two days were still available. People who haven’t got tickets on race day can still have the opportunity to watch for the practice and qualifying sessions.

“The first and second days for the qualifying and test stages (free practice) are generally much different audiences from the last day. Tickets are still available on Friday and Saturday,” he said. (OL-15)
