Mi 11 Ultra Explodes, What Xiaomi Says?

Uzone.id – There was a surprising incident about Xiaomi’s flagship phone. Mi 11 Ultra belonging to a user named Bryan exploded suddenly.

This incident has gone viral on Twitter since March 22, 2022, by uploading a friend who has the username @kyndeline. He originally uploaded a photo containing Bryan’s complaint about the Mi 11 Ultra exploding.

In the photo, Bryan is seen explaining that the Mi 11 Ultra exploded until its contents melted.

Honestly, I’m very disappointed and TRAUMA. My Mi 11 Ultra suddenly exploded when I was using it in my hand. It’s been less than a year and it’s still in immaculate condition. When I submitted a complaint to the ‘VIP’ hotline @xiaomi.indonesia the handling was really bad. Even though I’ve been using their loyal brand since I was in high school. Crazy,” Bryan wrote in the photo uploaded by @kyndeline.

Then he also explained that the Mi 11 Ultra exploded in a state not being charged and being used for editing. His cellphone is not yet a year old and he said that Xiaomi only gave him a voucher.

I don’t want to make a warranty claim, they don’t even give it to them, they say it’s user negligence. So, when I was using the cellphone for editing, it exploded suddenly, even though I wasn’t charging it anymore, was it my fault???? This @xiaomi.indonesia is really funny. Fyi, the cellphone never sinks into the water. When I opened it, the contents of the service center didn’t even have water in it,‘ continued Bryan’s story.

The next screenshot shows a chat between Bryan and the Xiaomi Repair team saying that the Mi 11 Ultra explosion incident was due to user negligence and that there was no repair service.

They insist that they only want to give a 50 percent voucher (the price of the cellphone was 17 million when I bought it) and they don’t want to give a replacement for a new unit. My cellphone should have a 2 year warranty, and I’ve only used it for 9 months.” wrote Bryan.

The tweet on the Twitter account @kyendeline has generated more than 5 thousand retweets, more than a thousand quote tweets, and more than 28 thousand likes.

Responding to this viral matter, Stephanie Sicilia as Head of Public Relations of Xiaomi Indonesia said that her party was aware of the incident of Bryan’s Mi 11 Ultra burning.

“We are aware of the complaint submitted by Mr. Bryan is related to his cellphone and currently the complaint is being handled by the Xiaomi Indonesia after-sales team to provide the best solution for the consumers concerned,” said Stephanie when contacted. Uzone.id.
