TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Persib Bandung again played the BRI League 1 continuation match on Saturday night, March 5, 2020. Maung Bandung will face Persiraja Banda Aceh in the 29th match at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Stadium, Bali.
Robert Alberts’ team is eyeing the first place in the standings which is still controlled by Bali United. Persib is in second position and is only 3 points away from Bali United. While Persiraja is trying to get out of the bottom of the standings with a record 13 points.
Alberts has asked the players not to underestimate Persiraja. According to him, Persiraja must be wary of because it looks like there has been a change in the style of play.
“They are in the last position in the standings. But in terms of quality they are as good as other teams. We are ready to face it,” said Alberts.
Regarding Persib’s preparation, Alberts said the players are in good condition. Responding to the absence of Bechkam Putra Nugraha due to the accumulation of yellow cards, he admitted that there was no problem. Because, there are other players who can replace his position.
“Those who usually appear can be played (replacing Beckham). We determine the final 11 compositions after making sure the players are free from Covid-19 and injuries,” said Alberts.
In addition, the Dutch coach stated that the match against Persiraja was very crucial. Because, it will be decisive in the next matches. “We are not only looking at this match but also the following matches. In the future, we will have a match to determine the champion.
Alberts needs the players to be in good shape. There are 3 tough matches that will be faced by Persib Bandung after meeting Persiraja. One of them is against Arema and Persebaya Surabaya. “So we need the best players,” he said.
Meanwhile, Persiraja Banda Aceh coach Sergio Alexandre is determined to bring his team to win 3 points and try to get out of the relegation zone.
“Tomorrow’s match is no different from the others where we will try to show the best game in order to get the best results. This last series, our target is to get the best results in every match,” said Alexandre about the Persib Bandung vs Persiraja Banda Aceh match.
