Persija Jakarta Defeated by Persib 0-2 in BRI Liga 1, Sudirman: This is a lesson

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Persija Jakarta lost 0-2 to Persib Bandung in the 28th week of BRI Liga 1, Tuesday night. After the match, Persija Sudirman coach congratulated him while alluded to “Maung Bandung” who had just beaten his team after four tries since 2021.

“Congratulations to Persib who won tonight after four tries,” Sudirman said in a virtual press conference after the match.

Persija has always won over Persib in the previous three matches since 2021.

The “Tiger Kemayoran” team defeated Persib twice in the 2021 Menpora Cup pre-season tournament and in the first round match of the 2021-2022 Indonesian League 1, 20 November 2021.

According to Sudirman, his squad learned a lot from the recent meeting with Persib.

One of them is how to maintain concentration throughout the game. In addition, Persija was also asked to appear more effective by taking advantage of every opportunity.

“This is a lesson for the next matches. Hopefully we will return to the three-point path,” said Sudirman.

The captain and goalkeeper of Persija Andritany Ardhiyasa also acknowledged Persib’s superiority in the match which took place at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar.

“Congratulations to Persib. They deserved to win,” said Andritany.

Meanwhile, three additional points boosted Persib’s position to second in the standings with 57 points from 28 matches.

The opportunity for “Maung Bandung” to win Liga 1 2021-2022 is very open because it is only three points away from the leader of the standings, Bali United.

Next, Persija Jakarta will face a tough match versus Bali United on Sunday (March 6) at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Stadium, Denpasar. Meanwhile, Persib Bandung will face the bottom team of the Persiraja standings on Saturday (5 March), also at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Stadium.
