TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Persija Jakarta vs Persib Bandung match in week 28 of BRI Liga 1 on Tuesday, March 1 2022, will be coach Sudirman’s first match after missing the Kemayoran Tigers’ last four matches.
Based on the club’s official website, Sunday, February 27, the coach, who is familiarly called Coach General, is certain to be ready to return to lead his team. His condition had deteriorated and he had to be hospitalized for 10 days after being exposed to Covid-19.
During Sudirman’s absence, it was Persija’s assistant coach, Ferdiansyah, who took over the role of head coach. He led Riko Simanjuntak and his colleagues against Arema FC, Persebaya Surabaya, Persik Kediri, and Barito Putera.
In those four matches, Persija scored six points, from one win against Persik, and the other three matches ended in draws. With this result, the Kemayoran Tigers are in seventh place with 38 points from 26 matches that have been played.
Now, Sudirman is confirmed to be in a fit condition and ready to fight with the players to face Persib. He has even led the preparatory exercises since D-3.
“Thank God my condition has improved. I am ready to accompany the team again for the next match. Hopefully we can achieve positive results,” said Sudirman.
As long as he can’t accompany the team, Sudirman has a record for improving the performance of Rohit Chand and his colleagues.
“I know our performance is still not stable. There are still many records that we need to fix soon. But, I also see there are positive things in our game that must be maintained,” he said.
The Persija Jakarta vs Persib Bandung match in the continuation of the BRI League 1 will be held at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, Tuesday, starting at 20.30 WIB.
