Learning from the defeat, Robert Rene Alberts has also prepared a plan so Persib does not repeat that result. “The very important thing is that we as a team, we will show the quality we have,” said the former PSM Makassar coach.
“We also have to show hunger for victory, show aggressiveness and determination (against Persija).”
“At the same time, we also have to play smart. Because this is one of the games we want to win,” he added.
Persib, which now packs 54 points, needs a win to be able to compete with Bali United (57 points) and Arema FC (55 points) who are at the top of the standings in the hunt for the 2021-2022 BRI Liga 1 title.
Apart from these two teams, Bhayangkara FC (54 points) and Persebaya Surabaya (51 points) which are below them are still a threat to win the championship trophy.
Meanwhile, Persija are currently seventh in the standings with 38 points. The Kemayoran Tigers, who are targeting to finish in the top three, are also determined to win to improve their position.
