Italian League News: AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is expected to be able to rely on Zlatan Ibrahimovic again for the crucial match against Napoli on Monday (7/3) early this morning at the Stadio Diego Maradona.
According to reports from Sky Italia’s Peppe Di Stefano, Ibrahimovic has had his final training session ahead of his visit to Naples to challenge the Partenopei with the rest of the Rossoneri squad on Saturday (5/3). As such, he is likely to be involved in the match by coming on as a substitute considering he has been out for over a month and will not be ready to start.
It was a duel that the Swedish legend has made history of and he seems inclined to like too. The reason is, he managed to score a brace in the away match against Napoli last season which brought Milan to a crucial 3-1 victory at the start of the season.
The 40-year-old striker has scored four goals for the Rossoneri against the Partenopei, with three of them coming on the road so it would be a big shot for Pioli to have him back in his squad.
Meanwhile, Olivier Giroud is expected to start in the centre-forward position in the match against Napoli and fans will be hoping he can finally score outside the San Siro. At the same time, Ibrahimovic will be waiting for his chance from the bench and hope to make an impact in the game.
