Jokowi said the government would build 30 similar nurseries at Rumpin in 2022. This is aimed at supporting the government’s efforts to conduct research on plasma wealth. cum found in Indonesia.

Apart from environmental issues, Jokowi hopes that the nursery development can also help boost the economy.

“So that what we produce can really get economic benefits, both for the country and for the community. So the environment can be obtained, the economy can also be,” he said.

3. BRIN will continue to do research

Meanwhile, Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Laksana Tri Handoko said his party would continue to develop research to support the development of superior seeds according to their characteristics.

“Because this will be needed to solve our various environmental and forestry problems, and each location has a different character and needs,” he explained.

4. BRIN mobilizes researchers from life science

In addition, Laksana said BRIN would involve several parties to support the development of nursery centers in the country.

“We will mobilize in particular researchers from life science from our life sciences, as well as those from the former Ministry of Agriculture and also the KLHK to return to support research that can help nursery centers developed by the KLHK,” said Laksana.

During Jokowi’s review this time, the Fifth President of the Republic of Indonesia as well as the Chairman of the BRIN Steering Committee Megawati Soekarnoputri, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and the BRIN Steering Committee Bambang Kesowo were also present.
