Jakarta, IDN Times – The COVID-19 Handling Task Force reported that there were an addition of 16,110 positive cases of corona, Friday (11/3/2022). This addition brings the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Indonesia to 5,864,010.
Data from the Ministry of Health shows that West Java is the region that contributes the most cases of COVID-19 today, with 3,750 cases. Then followed by DKI Jakarta and Central Java with 2,548 and 1,721 cases respectively.
The next highest daily COVID-19 cases were in East Java and Banten with an increase of 1,394 and 892 cases, respectively.
The government continues to urge the public to continue to comply with the COVID-19 health protocol with the 5M, namely maintaining distance, wearing masks, avoiding crowds, reducing mobility, and washing hands using soap and running water to prevent transmission of the virus.
1. A total of 39,212 people recovered from COVID-19 today
On the other hand, the increase in the number of patients recovering from COVID-19 today is more than the increase in positive cases. The COVID-19 Task Force reported an increase in the number of recovered patients, which was 39,212 today.
Thus, the total recovery from COVID-19 in the country has reached 5,335,846 cases.
West Java became the province with the highest number of additional recovered cases, namely 11,984 cases. Then followed by DKI Jakarta with 5,600 cases, Central Java with 3,079 cases, East Java with 2,507 cases, and Banten with 2,107 cases.

2. A total of 290 people died from COVID-19 per day
The COVID-19 Task Force also reported that there were an additional 290 people who died from the corona virus as of March 11, 2022. Meanwhile, the total number who died from COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic to date has risen to 151,703 people.
This data update then leaves Indonesia’s current active COVID-19 cases at 376,461 cases, down by 23,392 cases from the previous day.
3. Vaccinations as of March 11, 2022 are given as much as 1.05 million doses
For the number of COVID-19 vaccinations today, the Task Force noted that 1,051,432 people were vaccinated, including the first, second, and third doses of vaccination.
According to data from the Task Force, the government has vaccinated the first dose of COVID-19 to 193,014,314 people. Then the number of people who received the first dose of vaccination today reached 237,353 people.
On the other hand, the second dose of vaccination has reached 150,280,634 people, 487,103 of whom just received the second dose of vaccination today.
Meanwhile, the third dose of vaccination has been given to 14,013,132 people with an increase of 326,976 people per day.
