Sitting too long can be bad for health, take time to move – Spending a lot of time sitting has bad effects on health, such as obesity, increased blood pressure, high blood sugar to excess fat around the waist. In fact, sitting too long can also cause cholesterol levels to become abnormal.

When all of these are experienced together, the condition will develop into metabolic syndrome. Sitting too much and spending too much time sitting also appear to increase the risk of cardiovascular death and cancer, reports Mayo Clinic.

An analysis of 13 studies of sitting time and activity levels found that people who sat for more than 8 hours a day without physical activity had a risk of death similar to that of obesity and smoking.

But it can be prevented by doing regular exercise for a few minutes.

An analysis of more than a million data found that 60 to 75 minutes of moderately intense physical activity a day counteracted the effects of too much sitting.

Other studies have also shown that prolonged sitting also causes fewer deaths in physically active people.

It seems clear that less sitting and moving around contribute to better health.

Health experts recommend taking a break from sitting every 30 minutes. The benefits of moving can be very large, one of which is reducing calories.
