The Oscars Are Back at the Dolby Theatre

For the first time in two years, the Academy Awards are returning to the red carpet at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theater, in what it hopes will be a lively and normal return of the Oscars. Except for things that really need to be changed.

The live broadcast of the 94th Academy Awards will begin at 8 p.m. local time and will be broadcast live on ABC television.

An hour before the live broadcast begins, the stars will gather at the Dolby Theater for the presentation of the eight awards.

The most eagerly awaited major awards are film of the year, which is expected to go to “CODA” which airs on Apple TV+ and “The Power of the Dog” which has already aired on Netflix. Whoever wins, then this is the first award for the best film shown on a streaming channel. [em/jm]
