TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Tottenham Hotspur coach, Antonio Conte, said the hard work finally paid off after his team won big 4-0 over Leeds United in Week 27 of the Premier League, Saturday, February 26 2022. The Italian tactician finally left his mark on the team.
After making a positive start last November, Spurs’ recent results have frustrated Conte. The former Chelsea coach even openly questioned his future after losing to Burnley in the middle of this week.
However, his mood changed after his team beat Leeds at Elland Road. The victory also moved them up to seventh in the league standings.
“For the first time I see my mark in this club,” Antonio Conte was quoted as saying Reuters.
“Goals came from one full-back and another full-back. That means our plan is starting to work. Today we played a very good game.”

“What I wanted to see today was the right fighting spirit, the right character and winning the ball, against a team that is skilled in these situations.”
Conte also praised striker Harry Kane after the England captain scored one goal and set up another.
“Harry Kane was outstanding, with his goals and assists,” Conte said. “When your best players do it, it’s swallowed up for others.”
After a big win at Leeds United headquarters, Tottenham Hotspur will host Everton in the Premier League next Wednesday, March 8. However, previously they will travel to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup fifth round match on Wednesday morning WIB, 2 March.
