Unlike the Omicron Variant, Experts Find Common Symptoms of the BA2 . Subvariance

Suara.com – The BA2 subvariance is a derivative of the Omicron variant which has many mutations and is more infectious than the original strain.

In addition, according to laboratory studies by Japanese researchers, the BA2 subvariance of this Omicron variant can cause more severe disease.

Although the impact of the BA2 subvariant on the Omicron variant is not yet clear, scientists have listed the most common symptoms of the subvariant.

Moreover, the report further reveals that the new BA2 subvariant spreads 30 percent more easily than the original Omicron variant.

According to experts quoted from Times of Indiathe new subvariant lacks the mutation, which is integral to detecting the Covid-19 coronavirus.

The UK Health Services Agency (UKHSA), said the original Omicron variant contained a genetic deletion in the “S” spike gene that helps medical personnel to more easily detect it with the RT PCR test.

However, this Omicron subvariant lacks the S gene, making it difficult to trace. This BA2 subvariance can be detected with the help of genome sequencing, although it will take longer to reveal the results.
