Late last month, the Redmi Note 11 series was unveiled in the global market. And reportedly, this series will soon be marketed in the country.
Of the four models launched, the only 5G model from the lineup is the Note 11 Pro 5G. While others still maintain 4G network connectivity.
Seeing that phones with 4G networks on the market are getting less and less popular, Xiaomi seems to want to expand the line even further with other 5G models by presenting the Redmi Note 11S 5G.
Reported from Gizmochina, Saturday (19/02/2022), Xiaomiui has seen a new device with the model number “K16B” in the IMEI database paired with the codename “opal”. The model number is similar to “K16A” which is owned by POCO M4 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 11 5G (China).
Even so, it is likely that Xiaomi’s latest 5G smartphone will also have identical specifications with the two devices.
Speaking of specifications, the only 5G model currently in the Redmi Note 11 lineup comes with a Snapdragon 695 chip. This time, it is likely that the company will entrust its latest 5G smartphone to the Dimensity 810 processor which is the same as the POCO M4 Pro 5G and Note 11 5G ( China).
Given that the Redmi Note 11S 5G has made an appearance in the IMEI database, the release date shouldn’t be too far off. However, based on Hallo GSM’s searches from its official social media, the company has yet to confirm this.
