Telset.id, Jakarta – Zenius received an injection of investment funds from a subsidiary of Telkom Indonesia, MDI Ventures. With this funding, Zenius has raised more than USD 40 million or IDR 575.4 billion from MDI Ventures and other investors.

Zenius CEO Rohan Monga said that this funding will support the further development and expansion of the learning ecosystem on the platform.

“We will continue to focus on improving personalized learning experiences by improving adaptive learning technology and using gamification methods to increase student learning motivation,” said Rohan.

Through the support of the Telkom Indonesia subsidiary, Zenius will expand its partnership network and service distribution. Moreover, Zenius has previously acquired one of the largest tutoring centers in Indonesia, namely Primagama.

“Through the new network we have acquired from Primagama, we will be able to expand our reach to increase the impact we have in education,” said Rohan.

“We strongly believe that the hybrid learning model, which is a combination of offline and online, will provide the best results for students,” he added.

Rohan did not explain the amount of funds Zenius received from the Telkom Indonesia subsidiary, but thanks to an investment from MDI Ventures, the company managed to raise more than USD 40 million or Rp. 575.4 billion.

This money was obtained from MDI Ventures and other investors such as Northstar Group, Alpha JWC, Openspace Ventures, and Beacon Venture Capital who joined the funding round in early 2022.

“We are confident that we can realize our mission to build a smarter, brighter, and cooler Indonesia through collaboration, partnership, and synergy with various stakeholders, such as MDI,” said Rohan.

On the other hand MDI Ventures has reasons why it decided to provide funding to this online learning application.

According to the CEO of MDI Ventures, Donald Wihardja, Zenius has a good track record because it has been established since 2004 and is consistent in supporting Indonesian education.
