Raffi Ahmad also did an examination at a special clinic for nerve and spinal pain. It turned out that Raffi had a pinched nerve.

According to the Mayo Clinic, a pinched nerve occurs when too much pressure is applied to the nerve by the surrounding tissue, such as bone, cartilage, muscle or tendon. This pressure can cause pain, tingling, numbness or weakness.

Pinched nerves can occur in many areas throughout the body. For example, a herniated disc in the lower spine can put pressure on a nerve root. This can cause pain that radiates down the back of your leg. Likewise, a pinched nerve in your wrist can cause pain and numbness in your hand and fingers (carpal tunnel syndrome).

In some cases, this tissue may be bone or cartilage, as in the case of a herniated spinal disc pressing on a nerve root. In other cases, muscles or tendons can cause the condition.

In the case of carpal tunnel syndrome, various tissues may be responsible for compression of the median nerve of the carpal tunnel, including a swollen tendon sheath within the tunnel, enlarged bone that narrows the tunnel, or ligaments that thicken and degenerate.
