Jorge Martin Hopes No Serious Injury After Qatar Grand Prix

Jorge Martin had less luck at the start of the 2022 MotoGP season. The Pramac Racing racer failed to finish due to an incident with Francesco Bagnaia. This result was certainly not what he expected.

In addition, Jorge Martin had complained of pain in his hand after the incident at corner 1 of lap 12 of the Qatar GP. The Spaniard hopes his condition is fine.

Jorge Martin actually has a chance to win the race or at least get on the podium at the Qatar GP. Because, he was able to put his name as pole sitter in the qualification which took place Saturday (5/3/2022) night WIB.

Jorge Martin even had problems at the start. After the start lights went out, the bike wobbled a bit as it drove and almost hit Enea Bastianini before entering the first corner. This made him slump to eighth position at the start of the race.

2. Francesco Bagnaia was involved in an incident with Jorge Martin, both failed to continue racing

Jorge Martin still could not improve his position until lap eleven. Meanwhile, Francesco Bagnaia who was behind him tried to catch up to snatch the 8th position from him.

Bagnaia’s efforts actually resulted in an incident on lap twelve. Both riders fell after the front tire of the Bagnaia motorbike lost grip on the front tire so it skidded. Bagnaia and Martin were swept off the track and could not continue the race.

I was a little late entering the corner, but the braking wasn’t too hard either. So, it was quite strange to find the front could lock at such a moment. I apologize to Ducati, Pramac Racing and Jorge Martin,” Bagnaia said.
