Shin Tae-yong’s Message for Arhan Primary to Officially Join Tokyo Verdy

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Indonesian footballer Pratama Arhan received a special message from the coach of the Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong. Pratama will make his debut to play in the Japanese League after officially joining the J2 League club, Tokyo Verdy.

Arhan said that he often spoke with Shin Tae-yong to ask for his opinion on what to do with his new club later.

“Indeed, before joining Tokyo Verdy often communicated with coach Shin. Ask for an opinion,” said Arhan at a press conference in Jakarta, Friday, March 4, 2022.

According to him, Shin Tae-yong asked for discipline, hard work, and responsibility while defending Tokyo Verdy. “Also always show the best,” said Arhan.

The former PSIS Semarang defender received information from Shin that Japanese football has a very detailed training system. The South Korean coach believes Arhan can gain a lot of knowledge in the Japanese competition.

One of them is to help make Arhan a more focused player during the match. The defender is also expected to set an example for Indonesian football.

Pratama Arhan was recruited by Tokyo Verdy from Indonesian League 1 club PSIS Semarang for a two-year contract per March 2022. Together with Tokyo Verdy, Arhan will wear jersey number 38.

There is no specific reason for choosing the number, although he expects number 11 or 12. However, until now Arhan has not been able to go to Japan because he still has to complete a visa and a Japanese entry permit specifically for foreign visitors.

Arhan’s Primary agent estimates that his players will soon leave for Japan in the next 6-7 days.
